1st Urban and Regional Research Network (URRN) Symposium

The First Urban and Regional Research Network Conference attempted to provide a new platform that would evaluate the accumulated knowledge and expertise over a period of more than 80 years in relation to academia and practice. Hence, such an evaluation would be critical for determining the fields that needs new policies with respect to identifying the cases and phenomenon,   by putting forth the successes and failures experienced, making a self-assessment and envisioning further research areas. This process of self-assessment would open new discussions based on lessons learned from previous experiences together with the knowledge transfer from Turkey to international platforms. At this regard, URRN aims to create an evaluation platform that would look at issues through different perspectives based on what has been done so far and what could not done so far with the participation of the specialized people.
